As mentioned in my previous post about the meat cooking, this is more my husband field so he prepared the beef and the rice, and I prepared an extra something, a receipt that I found on the internet today (here the link) and that I wanted absolutely to try… and it was worthy: those peppers with feta cheese were absolutely fabulous. I suggest you to start with the beef that takes longer, then go with the rice and last with the peppers.

Ingredients for the beef

600 gr beef slices
2-3 onions
Olive oil, salt, chili pepper, Brodo Granulare, lemon juice

Ingredients for the peppers

2 peppers
100 gr feta cheese
100 gr ricotta cheese
Parmesan cheese

How to – the beef

1. Some time before cooking (couple of hours if possible) season the beef with the salt, the pepper, the brodo granulare, some lemon juice and some onion cut small (use half of 1 onion).
2. Cut the rest of the onion in pieces, non so small.
3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and when it is hot, add the meat and lightly fry. After couple of minutes, add the onion and eventually add some spices if you wish.
4. Let cook on quite strong fire for half an hour, adding some water or broth.
5. Cook the rice following this receipt.

How to – the peppers

1. Pre-heat the oven at 180°
2.  Clean the peppers and cut in squares, in flat pieces. Arrange in a baking pan and put in the oven for 10 minutes.
3. In a bowl, cut the feta in small pieces, add the ricotta and the parmesan and mix everything.
4. Take out the peppers and put some cheese on each piece. Put back in the oven for other 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is slightly brown.

Serve a plate with the rice, the beef and the peppers. It is great!
